Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 11/10/2021 at 3:30PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Samantha Clenista, conducted a virtual inspection via FaceTime. LPA virtually met with Director, Teresa West. Also present on the virtual inspection was Lucia Hernandez who assisted in measuring. Director guided LPA around the facility to show the total amount of children and staff present. LPA observed 12 children and 3 staff members playing outside. Purpose of this visit is to follow-up on corrections that were noted during LPA's initial Pre-Licensing inspection conducted on 08/11/2021, where LPA observed that the facility had to extend the fence dividing the infant/toddler outdoor play space to the road so that it meets at least 4 ft. tall and separate the infant and toddler outdoor play areas via fence. A 90 day provisional license was granted on 08/12/2021 (expiring 11/10/2021). LPA continued to tour the facility during virtual inspection and was shown the infant/toddler playground. LPA observed that the fence dividing the infant/toddler outdoor play space to the road was extending vertically and was measured during inspection and was observed to meet regulation. LPA also observed that the facility added a fence separating the infant and toddler outdoor play areas. Fencing was measured during inspection and it measured at 4ft. 1 inch (49 inches) ft. tall. The infant and toddler areas were then measured separately. Infant outdoor play area measured at approximately 492.96 sq. ft. sufficient for 6 children and the toddler outdoor play area measured at approximately 2,161.54 sq. ft. sufficient for 28 children. Both infant and toddler playgrounds meet the requested capacity. A regular license for 30 preschoolers (ages 2-5) and 5 toddlers (ages 18-36 months) is granted and effective today's date, 11/10/2021. No deficiencies observed during today's inspection. Exit interview was conducted with Ms. West. Notice of Site Visit will be email to Ms. West along with her appeal rights and this report. Ms. West is to respond to the email within 24 hours confirming receipt (which will act as her signature).
