What the inspector wrote

On 10/30/2023 at 11:01am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Samantha Clenista conducted an unannounced inspection at the above address. Upon arrival, LPA met with Center Director, Teresa West. Purpose of this visit is to address facility’s request for taking out their toddler option program and decreasing their preschool capacity from having 35 to 24 children (ages 2-5 years old) in the Preschool Room. Fire clearance was granted on 10/25/2023. The areas used for the preschool program was observed to be separate from their infant program, both indoors and outdoors. LPA informed Director that the programs shall never commingle at any given time and that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor play. There are no changes to the preschool room or outdoor activity space. There is an operational carbon monoxide detector on site located in the preschool hallway area. All required documents were observed posted in the main parent drop off/pick up area. LPA informed Director that children must be escorted to and from the playground. Drinking water is readily accessible inside and outside the classroom via Primo refillable water stations and refillable water bottles. Director was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Director, Teresa West. A notice of site visit was given to and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Approval of the decrease in capacity was granted and issued today, 10/30/23. Director stated her understanding. Director understands that this repo rt shall be kept available at the facility for public review for 3 years.
