On 10/30/2025 at 2:30PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Hanna Lucas, met with the Director, Jennifer Brown, for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. There were zero school-aged children present at the time of inspection. Facility is within ratio and capacity. LPA toured the school aged room. The room was clean and in a comfortable temperature during the visit. Adequate ventilation and heating are available. All required forms were posted on the front entry wall. The furniture, books, games, and toys are safe, and age appropriate. The school-aged playground is fully fenced with sufficient cushioning and adequate shade. LPA advised the Director to ensure that the playground material is maintained. Drinking water is available at all times, as staff ensures that each child has their own individual water bottle, that can be refilled by the classroom\342\200\231s faucets. Children are evaluated upon entry and monitored throughout the day for signs of illness. The isolation area for ill children awaiting pick up is in the front office. The facility provides breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. The children\342\200\231s food is stored in the kitchen, which is clean and orderly. There is no expired or contaminated food present. The food has been stored separately from any chemicals or cleaning products. The menu is posted, changes are recorded, and the menu is stored for 30 days. Hand washing and toileting areas are in a safe, sanitary, and operating condition. There are several staff present with current CPR and First Aid certification. Medications are stored in the front office, inaccessible to children with all required documentation on file. There is no evidence of rodent or insect activity. The carbon monoxide detector and the fire alarm is operational. The facility has a written disaster plan in place, and they have been conducting and documenting evacuation drills every six months. The last drill was conducted on 10/14/2025. The facility does not transport children. LPA reviewed sign in/out sheets, a sample of personnel records and a sample of children's records. The facility uses SproutAbout to communicate with parents. The Director was reminded that Mandated Reporter Training is to be retaken every two years and can be accessed at the following website: www.mandatedreporterca.com . This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPA reviewed storage of \342\200\234medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1- CCP). LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance with the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP. Director was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
