On 8/21/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Saraliz Velando conducted an unannounced Annual inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director, Melissa Pestana. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 8am-3pm. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA toured the facility and observed 11 children and 2 staff present today. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots/mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classroom for the children's own water bottle and it gets refilled by filtered water service that gets delivered to the facility. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children in out of reach places or latched. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. The last fire drill was conducted on 5/13/25. Staff files and children files are complete and current. All unusual incident report shall be reported to licensing within 24 hours by calling the duty worker (619)767-2248 and the unusual incident report shall be submitted to licensing within 7 days to SDincidentreports@dss.ca.gov . No deficiencies were cited today. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the Director, Melissa Pestana. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
