Facility-requested visit·December 5, 2024

On 12/5/24 at approximately 11:20am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Saraliz Velando conducted a Case Management inspection that was initiated by Area Director, Karen Rojas to verify the additional outdoor space is safe for children in care. Upon arrival, LPA met with Center Director, Elena Alvarado. LPA toured the facility with the Director. There were 53 children in care and 18 staff present today. Per tour of the facility today, the additional playground outdoor space measures approximately 835.41 sq. ft. and maintains a shaded rest area for the children by shade sails and large trees. The previous outdoor space measured 3,778.01 sq.ft. on 3/26/24. The total outdoor space is now approximately 4,613.42 sq.ft. The surface of the preschool playground is in safe condition and free of hazards. The facility provides filtered drinking water to daycare children by refilling water jugs and providing disposable cups for single use. The facility maintains rubber cushioning material under the play structures and areas with sand. The additional area does not contain play structures, only seating and walking area. Upon approval, facility may use the additional outdoor space. No deficiencies cited today. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Director, Elena Alvarado. The Director was provided a copy of the report and appeal rights. Notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
