What the inspector wrote

On 02/19/2026 at 12:45pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Selina Siao conducted an announced follow up Pre-Licensing inspection to inspect and remeasure the Infant Care Room as the facility added a four feet high sound absorbent wall that separates the crib area with the activity area. The initial pre licensing inspection was conducted on 01/07/2026 to add an infant program and to consolidate their existing license (376105007) into a single license. Upon arrival, LPA met with Center Director, Heather Davis (Center Director). Facility is requesting to be licensed for 10 infants (ages 6-24 months) in the Infant Care Room, 52 toddlers (18-36 months) in the Jellyfish, Octopus and Otter Room, and 100 preschoolers (ages 2.5 to Kinder) in the Seahorse, Starfish, Whales and Sea Turtles Room. Hours of operation will be Monday thru Friday, 7:30am \342\200\223 5:30pm. The Infant Care Room was remeasured, and it measured to be 943.04 square feet, and the crib area is separated with a four feet high sound absorbent wall. There are 4 cribs in the crib area, but 2 more cribs are in the storage area. All pending corrections have been received and the waivers regarding outdoor activity space and an armed guard being on site have been approved by the department. Facility is within substantial compliance a license will be granted effective 2/23/2025. Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1- CCP). Please note that if your building was constructed after 1/1/10 you are not required to test for lead. However, you must provide proof of the construction date to the regional office.
