What the inspector wrote

On July 8, 2022 at 1:35 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cindy Hamilton conducted an unannounced case management visit to EES Vista Early Learning Center (CCC) and met with Site Director Darlene Skidmore. During the visit, LPA conducted an interview with Director and there were no children present. The case management visit was conducted in response to the receipt of an Unusual Incident Report (UIR) from the facility. The UIR was received on June 6, 2022. It indicated a child was left unattended and without supervision on the playground during transition to the classroom. The report details that once the teacher and other children had transitioned into the classroom, a child was observed through the window playing outside on the playground. Director stated that the child was left unattended for maybe 2 minutes. Based on information gathered, the CCC acted appropriately and no violations have been identified. The Director also advised LPA that the staff involved in incident are no longer employed by the CCC. An exit interview was conducted, appeal rights discussed and a copy of this report was provided to Site Director Darlene Skidmore. The Site Director was also provided with a Notice of Site Visit and reminded that this notice must be posted for 30 days.
