Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On the above noted date and time, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kelly Gerth conducted a Case Management inspection for a recently renovated School Age outdoor activity space. LPA met with Facility Representative Jennifer Grawvunder. The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area which is enclosed by chain link fencing and building wall, which is at least four feet high. The total square footage for all the outdoor activity space is 3666.55 which is sufficient space for the licensed capacity of 30 school age children at one time. LPA found the previous waiver to share the playground at different times due to insufficient space is no longer needed due to the renovations and found the outdoor activity space to be appropriate in size for the school age program to utilize for 30 children. Shade is provided via anchored overhead shade canopies. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground. There is a play structure on the playground for children ages 5 yrs of age-12 years of age and is properly anchored. There is adequate cushioning in fall zones of climber provided by woodchips and rubber matting. Drinking water is available via filtered water and cups and/or children\342\200\231s water bottles. LPA observed all hazardous items on the playground to be inaccessible to children. Facility Representative was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing. An exit interview was conducted with Facility Representative Jennifer Grawvunder and a copy of this report was provided on this date. A notice of site visit was provided on this date.
