Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 08/25/2025 at 10:00 am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Griselda Castellon, and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Monica Cuddy announced a pre-licensing visit for the addition of the playground fencing surrounding the toddler and preschool playground. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director Laura Humble. The director is requesting to be licensed for 12 toddler option children ages (18 months - 36 months) in toddler room (5), and 60 preschool children (2 years-Kinder) in preschool rooms, 3,4,6, 7, and 8. The fellowship hall will be used for preschool children. The hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. LPA and LPM inspected the toddler and preschool playground to ensure the fencing meets pool safety regulations. Upon inspection the toddler and preschool playground is surrounded by a double chain link fencing and does not obscure the creek view. The double chain-link fence measures 5ft tall. The chain link that is being added has small openings that measure about 1.75 inches and prevent climbing. The overall height of the chain link fence is 6 ft tall. The entrance gate is self-latching that swings away from the creek, self-close, and have a self-latching device located six inches from the top of the gate. At the time of the visit, the fencing is still under construction. The entrance self-latching gate in the toddler and preschool playground need to have double-chain link fencing to be added. The gate that is located next to the swing set needs a self-latching and double-chain link fencing. The secondary chain link with the smaller opening needs to be stretched to cover the entirety of the current chain link fence, including corners and gates. Laura shared that the fencing will be completed by the end of the week. Laura will submit proof of photos and videos of areas that need to be completed.
