Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On the above date and time, Licensing Program Analyst’s (LPA’s) Kelly Gerth and Kelli Waters conducted a Case Management visit for inspection of the classrooms the facility is planning on using temporarily due to an incident that required closure of the current classrooms. Upon arrival, LPA’s met with Facility Representative Jenni Grawvunder and toured the Child Care Center (CCC). LPA’s verified that the temporary change in classrooms had been cleared on May 12, 2026 by the Escondido fire authority and were approved for use. During this inspection, all indoor space utilized for the children was inspected today and all indoor activity space with temporary change of use, was measured. The total indoor activity space measured at (1114.03) sq ft which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of (12) infant children aged 0-24 months in Suite G Room A with Room B strictly used for nap and crib use and (12) Toddlers aged 18-36 months in Room D. Due to the temporary change in room use, Rooms E, F (Suite C) and Room C (Suite G) will be used for a total capacity of (72) Preschool children ages 2-5yrs. Room J (Suite F) to remain as licensed, with (30) School Age children capacity and is unaffected by the change. Rooms G, H and I (Suite A) will remain closed and off limits to children, temporarily, during this time. A temporary classroom relocation has been granted for the fore mentioned, Facility Representative understands that should the date of temporary use extend beyond the estimated reopening date, the CCC must contact Community Care Licensing (CCL) prior to 06/01/26 and provide the updated re-opening date, for continued approval of use of the temporary classroom changes. A notice of site visit was given to licensee and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Facility Representative Jenni Grawvunder.
