What the inspector wrote

On 9/28/23 at 1:27pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Martha Malane arrived at the facility to conduct a case management inspection for the purpose of a capacity increase. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director, Kristen Kobb and was led on a tour of the facility. There were 32 children and nine (9) staff members present in rooms 1, 2 and 3 . 12 infants in room 3 were observed napping. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:30am - 6:30pm. The facility is requesting a capacity increase to 36 infant children, ages 0-24 months. Classrooms 1, 2 and 3 were inspected and measured a total of square 1820.02 square feet which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. The nap area, equipped with cribs, was not calculated in the square footage. Classrooms were equipped with age-appropriate furniture, including cots and cribs for napping, tables, chairs, cubbies, bookshelves and other materials for children. There is a changing table within arm’s reach of a sink in all three (3) rooms. The outdoor activity space was inspected and previously measured a total of 3885 square feet which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. Director provided LPA with an updated outdoor sketch. A fire clearance for 36 infant children; ages 0-24 months was granted 9/25/23. The fire clearance was approved for the following capacity, not to exceed 36 children: Room 1: 8 infants Room 2: 12 infants Room 3: 16 infants No deficiencies were cited. A capacity increase to 36 infant children; ages 0-24 months in rooms 1, 2 and 3 is granted effective today’s date. Exit interview conducted with Director, Kristen Kobb. Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 days from today's date. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
