Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

children in the morning. Each time it was corrected within 5-10 minutes by either moving children to other classrooms or having the Director step in. Other interviews disclosed that at no time were the classrooms out of ratio. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted, and this report was reviewed with Director Aunica DeFalco. Appeal rights were discussed and provided during the exit interview. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.

  • RESPONSIBILITY FOR PROVIDING CARE AND SUPERVISION

    Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision - (a) The licensee shall provide care and supervision as necessary to meet the children's needs. (1) No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: A child ran from a playground, through a gate, through the back door of the facility, down the hall inside the parking lot while being pursued by staff. The child stopped running and turned around toward the front door of the facility before being brought back inside. This poses an immediate risk to the health and safety of the children.
