Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 3/2/2026 at 9:45 am, Licensing Program Analysts, Jennifer Irving and Renita Rodriguez, made an unannounced visit on an unrelated manner. During the visit, the admission agreement was reviewed, and it was determined that the facility has instituted a policy to wake children up after nap time is over at 2:30pm, regardless of the child's preference. Interfering with a child's sleep is a violation of the child's personal rights. There can be no interference with the functions of daily living to include sleep. If the child is reluctant to wake up, the facility is to provide a safe spot for the child to continue resting until that child is amenable to awakening. In addition, if the child is tired outside of normal rest times, the same provisions are to be in place. See LIC 809D for a Type B violation. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the Director, Jenna Hayes. A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
