On 3/2/2023 @ 11:30 a.m. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Joelle Redding, made an unannounced visit to follow up on a self-reported incident that occurred on 2/15/22 wherein a 1 year old child fell, sustaining a cut on the eyebrow. LPA spoke with Staff #1 and #2 who were present with 7 infants in the classroom during the time of the incident. The child was on a soft, age appropriate rocking horse and toppled over, hitting the table nearby. Both staff witnessed the incident. Staff #1 was within a few feet and immediately responded to the fall, providing first aid until the Assistant Director arrived. Ratios and supervision were in place, furnishings were age appropriate, facility staff responded appropriately and reported timely. They have since removed the rocking horse for precautionary purposes. No deficiencies are cited. NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS GIVEN AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.
