Non-compliance follow-up·June 12, 2023

On 6/12/2023 @ 2:10 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Joelle Redding, made an unannounced visit to evaluate the facility to ensure the requirements of the Compliance Plan, effective 4/27/22, are being met. LPA met with Assistant Director Corrie Barrick as Director Melissa Ruiz Frias was on vacation. LPA arrived during naptime which ends at approximately 2:30 p.m. There were 11 children with a teacher in the PreK room, 11 children with an Aide in 3A; 9 children with a teacher in Room 3B, 13 children with Aide in Room 4B; 13 children with a teacher in Room 2A and 7 children with a teacher in Room 2B. Fully qualified staff is on site to step in for the Aides and meet ratios as children awaken; There has been one new Aide hired since LPA's last visit on 3/2/23. There are no new fully qualified staff. An All Staff meeting was conducted on 5/16/23 wherein the Compliance Plan was reviewed. LPA obtained copies of the agenda and roster today. LPA discussed transitions with a sample of staff, reviewed and verified ratios, to include napping ratios. Appropriate supervision was in place. New staff training has been completed and documentation is on file. The current staff schedule has been updated to reflect the new hires and appropriate coverage. LPA obtained an updated copy of the LIC 500 during this visit. The facility is meeting the requirements of the Compliance Plan. No deficiencies are cited. NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS GIVEN AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.
