Non-compliance follow-up·June 21, 2024

On 6/21/24 at 8:30AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Patrick Ma, made an unannounced visit to evaluate the facility to ensure the requirements of the Compliance Plan, effective 4/27/22, are being met. LPA met with District Leader, Melinda Gaskin. LPA inspected the facility in the morning as children were still arriving. At time of facility tour, there were 8 children with fully qualified teacher, Emily Kirkpatrick in room Preschool A, 7 children with fully qualified teacher Madison Blechschmidt in room Preschool 3B, 16 children with fully qualified teacher Kandi McKinney and Director Ashley Rawls (assisting from another center), and 16 children with fully qualified staff Vanessa Correo and Aide Geeti Baijal in room Discovery Preschool (2's). Appropriate ratios and supervision was in place. There has been one new Aide hired since LPA's last visit on 2/6/24. LPA discussed transitions with District Leader, reviewed and verified ratios. New staff training has been completed and documentation is on file. LPA obtained an updated copy of the LIC 500 during this visit. The facility is meeting the requirements of the Compliance Plan. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the facility representative Melinda Gaskin. A notice of site visit was given to facility representative and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.
