What the inspector wrote

On 5/2/25 at 8:40 a.m, LPA Renita Rodriguez made an unannounced visit to follow up on self reported incident, received on 3/21/25. LPA met with Director Meghan Alldredge and explained purpose of the visit. LPA conducted interviews and obtained children's roster. 54 children and 7 staff. Facility self reported on 3/21/25 an incident involving a child and a window. Child C1 arrived at school on 3/20/25 at around 7:00 a.m. and was dropped off by parent. C1 did not notice parent leave. Once C1 realized parent was no longer in the classroom, C1 attempted to open a door in the classroom. C1 could not get the door open and ran towards the opposite side of the classroom where C1 was now facing a window. C1 raised arms and hands above head and hit the window. The window did shatter and break. Staff S1 went towards child and walked child away from the area. S1 was able to move all children in care to another classroom. S1 provided C1 with first aid. C1 was picked up and taken for medical attention. C1 returned to school with no medical directives. No deficiencies cited at this time. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Meghan Alldredge. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
