On 4/3/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Saraliz Velando conducted an unannounced follow-up inspection. The purpose of this inspection was to observe the pool fence corrections. LPA met with Licensee Brenda Hudgins and there were 3 children present today. The pool gate door measures over 60 inches. It also swings out and away from pool and is self-lock/self-latching. The pool fence separates the pool from the home and is far enough away from any windows to prevent direct access into the pool area. LPA also observed the pool fence to be over 60 inches and meets Title 22 regulations. Licensee agrees that fencing will remain in place and properly functioning whenever there are licensed children in care. The pool alarm was tested by LPA and is functioning properly. LPA also observed the life ring and rescue pole in a readily accessible area by the pool. The necessary corrections were made to meet new pool safety regulations and licensee is able to resume use of the backyard play area effective 4/3/25. An exit interview was conducted with Licensee Brenda Hudgins. Appeal Rights and a copy of the report were given.
