On November 7, 2025 , at 12:00 PM. , Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Gloria Gonzalez conducted an unannounced Annual/Random Inspection and met with Licensee, Martha Cordova .\302\240 LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. One (1) daycare child (grandchild) and no staff members were present in the facility during this inspection. Licensee accompanied LPA inside and out of the facility during this inspection. This facility is a one story, four (4) bedroom, two (2) bathroom house . Licensee submitted documentation requesting to use the entire home including the backyard for daycare use except for the garage and the storage room in the backyard. LPA inspected the entire home and is ready for use as of todays visit. The following areas used for child care are: all four bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, and backyard . Off limits areas are: garage and is inaccessible through use of door knob cover . Hours of operation are: Monday through Sunday 23 hours. The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met requirements.\302\240 Hazardous items were made inaccessible to children during the inspection. The licensee has toys, play equipment and materials available.\302\240 The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities at time of inspection . Licensee shall supervise children during outside activities at all times. Licensee stated no bodies of water and LPA did not observe any bodies of water on the premises during the time of this inspection. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances . Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Licensee\342\200\231s First Aid and CPR certification expires on 4/2026.\302\240 Licensee has required immunizations.\302\240 Licensee's Mandated Reporter Training certificate expired on 7/13/24.\302\240Facility roster is maintained and was reviewed.\302\240 The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 8/24/25.\302\240 LPA reviewed a sample of children\342\200\231s files and observed files were complete. Licensee was advised if there is to be an infant in care, there must be one crib or play yard for each infant who is unable to climb out of the crib or play yard.\302\240 Cribs or play yards are free from all loose articles and objects. Licensee shall physically check on sleeping infants up to 24 months of age every 15 minutes.\302\240 An Individual Infant Sleeping Plan [LIC 9227 (3/20)] shall be maintained for each infant up to 12 months of age.\302\240 Licensee shall place infants up to 12 months of age on their backs for sleeping. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at: https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. LPA provided and discussed the following:\302\240 Report suspected child abuse and neglect, maintain children\342\200\231s records according to regulation, post all required forms.\302\240 Licensee was reminded that corporal punishment, smoking, exersaucers, bouncy seats, walkers, and jumpers and/or similar equipment are not allowed in daycare.\302\240 Licensee was also provided information regarding SIDS, Lead exposure and Shaken Baby Syndrome. LPA and Licensee discussed California Megan's Law and LPA provided: www.meganslaw.ca.gov .\302\240 During the exit interview, Licensee confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. LPA advised if there is an unusual incident to report to call Licensing within 24 hours and to follow up with an LIC624B within 7 days. LPA advised the Licensee that prior to making alterations or additions to the home or grounds, the Licensee shall notify the Department of the proposed change. Applicant provided proof of control of property and Landlord consent is not required. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. LPA observed LIC 9213 was posted. Appeal Rights (LIC 9058) was provided. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.\302\240 An exit interview was conducted and the report was reviewed with Licensee, Martha Cordova.
