Routine inspection (3-year)·December 8, 2025

On 12/8/2025 at 1:15 p.m. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Shannan Williams conducted an unannounced Required Annual Inspection and met with Licensee, Gloria Aldrete and disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. There were six (6) children present during this inspection. The licensee accompanied LPA inside of the facility during this inspection. The off-limits areas are inaccessible using door locks, doorknob covers and gates. Per the licensee the operating hours are 7:00 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday. The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met the requirements. The Licensee removed any hazardous items that could potentially be a safety risk to children in care. The Licensee has toys, play equipment, and materials available. The licensee uses the fenced backyard for outdoor activities. The licensee stated there are no bodies of water on the premises. LPA did not observe any bodies of water on the premises. The Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. The licensee has required immunizations. The facility roster is maintained and reviewed. LPA Williams reviewed six (6) children\342\200\231s files. A fire drill was documented on 6/6/2025. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual \342\200\223 Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. The Licensee owns the property. The Licensee provided proof of control of property. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. There shall one crib or play yard for each infant who is unable to climb out of the crib or play yard. Cribs or play yards are free from all loose articles and objects. The licensee physically checks on sleeping infants every 15 minutes; the Licensee documents these sleep checks as required. An Individual Infant Sleeping Plan [LIC 9227 (3/20)] shall be maintained for each infant up to 12 months of age and shall be available to the Department for review. The licensee places infants up to 12 months of age on their backs for sleeping. LPA discussed the following: Reporting Covid positive, suspected child abuse & neglect, maintaining children\342\200\231s records according to regulation, and post required forms. The licensee was reminded of corporal punishment, smoking, exersaucers, bouncy seats, walkers, jumpers, and/or similar equipment are not allowed in daycare. During the exit interview, the licensee, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. LPA provided the California Megan's Law website: www.meganslaw.ca.gov . Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
