What Happened
Annual inspection for capacity increase found off-limits areas not made inaccessible: debris, uncovered barbecue, laundry detergent containers, unlocked laundry room doors, accessible cleaning supplies/paint cans, and unlocked shed with hazardous items. All secured during inspection but corrections required by 5/9/2024.
Observations
- Debris on shelf in backyard off-limits area
- Uncovered barbecue grill on right backyard side
- Containers of laundry detergent in open plastic tub on shelf accessible to children
- Two unlocked doors leading to laundry room accessible to children
- Cleaning supplies and paint cans on shelf accessible to children on left backyard side
- Storage shed unlocked and partially open containing cleaning compounds and hazardous items accessible to children
- Expired lease agreement on file

Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in 4 out of 4 persons in that LPA observed an unlocked shed, two unlocked doors leading to laundry room with access to detergents and cleaning compounds, also poisons, paint cans, detergents, cleaning compounds, uncover barbecue grill located on both sides of the home in the backyard area were accessible to children which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
