What the inspector wrote

On November 24, 2025 at 9:15 a.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Angela Nguyen conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection and met with the Licensee, Martha Inzunza. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted facility entry by the Licensee. The Licensee, Licensee husband, three children and one day care child were present during the inspection. This facility is a one story, 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. Licensee accompanied LPA inside and out of the facility during this inspection. The following areas used for child care are: living room, bathroom #1, front yard and dining room. Off limits areas are garage, kitchen all 4 bedrooms and backyard. They are inaccessible through use of child proof safety gate barricading the entrances of both hallways. Hours of operation: Monday - Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector are operational. Hazardous items were observed in a locked cabinet during this inspection. LPA observed children\342\200\231s toys and play equipment available for children. Licensee uses fenced front yard for outdoor play. There is a fireplace with a safety screen in the home. Licensee stated there are no bodies of water. LPA observed no bodies of water on the premises during the inspection. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. Licensee\342\200\231s First Aid and CPR certifications expire in 11/2027. Licensee has required immunizations. Mandated Reporter Training expired on 05/2024. Lewis's Mandated reporter training expired on 5/11/2024. CPR/ First aid expires in 5/2027. LPA reminded licensee that Mandated reporter and Pediatric CPR/ First aid expires every 2 years and shall be kept on file at the facility. The facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. The last earthquake drill was conducted and documented on 10/4/2025. Staff records reviewed. Child record review was conducted and determined to be complete. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. One Type B, California Code of Regulations, (Title 22, Division 12 & Chapter 3), are being cited on the attached LIC 809-D. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. During the exit interview, the Licensee, Martha Inzunza, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.
