What the inspector wrote

On 626/24 at11:20am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adrian Castellon conducted an unannounced inspection to deliver complaint findings for the allegation listed above. LPA met with Licensee Laura Lopez Avila to discuss the purpose of the inspection and tour the facility. During the course of the investigation, two unannounced inspections were conducted. Interviews were conducted with reporting party, day-care parents, children in care and licensee. Based on interviews conducted and witness observation, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is substantiated, meaning that the allegation is valid. Children in care have climbed on the facility backyard fence where there is steep drop on the other side of the fence. This may pose a risk to the health and safety of the children in care, therefore, the facility is being cited on the attached LIC 9099D. Exit interview was conducted, report reviewed, and Appeal Rights discussed with licensee. A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately next to, interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
