The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met requirements.\302\240 All hazardous items were inaccessible to children. The licensee has toys, play equipment and materials available. The upstairs is gated off at the bottom of the stairway and the applicant understands the gate must be in place when children under five years are present during day care hours . The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities. LPA did not observe any bodies of water and licensee stated there are no bodies of water at the time of this inspection. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances or exemptions.\302\240 Licensee\342\200\231s First Aid and CPR certifications expire on 8/2025.\302\240 Licensee completed Mandated Reporter Training on 4/7/23. 2 of 2 children\342\200\231s records were reviewed and contain immunization documentation and Notification of Parent\342\200\231s Rights form. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA advised that prior to making alterations or additions to the home or grounds, the applicant shall notify the Department of the proposed change. Applicant states they are financially secure to operate a family child care home for children and will comply with all regulations and laws governing family child care homes. LPA discussed the maximum number of children for whom care shall be provided when there is an assistant provider in the home, including children under age 10 who live in the licensee's home and the assistant provider's children under age 10, shall be either: Twelve (12) children with no more than four of whom may be infants or Fourteen (14) children, with at least two of the children with 1 child enrolled in kindergarten and 1 child at least six years of age and no more than three infants, with landlord consent (LIC 9149). The applicant has not obtained a signed Property Owner/Landlord Consent form (LIC9149). Without this consent, the applicant understands that, once licensed, they can operate with a maximum capacity of 12 children. No deficiencies cited.
