What the inspector wrote

On 8/27/2025 at 1:20pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Vicky Williamson conducted an announced Pre-licensing inspection with Applicant, Barbara Nunez for the purpose of a change of location. The purpose of the inspection is to ensure the home is in compliance with standards established in CCR, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, for Family Child Care Homes. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm. This two story four (4) bedroom, three (3) bathroom home was toured and inspected. The applicant will use the following areas for childcare: the family room (playroom), bedroom 2 (classroom), bathroom 2, all located downstairs,the backyard play yard area, parking lot area (behind the fenced backyard) and front yard. Off limit areas includes the entire first floor: living room, kitchen, dining room, bedroom 1 (master bedroom), bathroom 1 (hallway), patio; fenced storage area, bedroom 3, bedroom 4, bathroom 3, laundry room and garage ( leading from the laundry room) all located downstairs. Off limit areas are inaccessible to children by use of door locks, safety gates and fencing. Applicant will use the backyard for outdoor activities for the children. LPA reminded the applicant that children should always be supervised during outdoor activities. The applicant stated that she understood. LPA advised applicant that prior to making alterations or additions to the home or grounds, the applicant shall notify the Department of the proposed change. A Large Family Child Care Home license may be issued upon final file review and completion of the following: - Completion of Preventative Health that includes lead Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Applicant, Barbara Nunez. Applicant stated that she understood.
