What the inspector wrote

On 10/15/2025 at 12:00pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adriana Macias visited the facility to conduct an annual inspection. Upon arrival LPA met with Lead Teacher Graciela Hosfield and proceeded to tour the facility. During today's inspection, there were 21 children observed in K-2 Classroom with 5 staff members. Appropriate ratios and capacity were observed. This is a Title V program. Furniture and age-appropriate equipment is in good condition. Rooms have adequate heating, lighting, ventilation. Floors appear to be clean and safe. Drinking water is readily accessible. Bathrooms are maintained with operational toilets and faucets with appropriate temperature. Paper towels and toilet paper are available. Bathroom is lighted and has ventilation. Children are evaluated upon entry and monitored throughout the day for signs of illness. The isolation area for ill children awaiting pick up is the front office. The school kitchen provides lunches to the day care children which is clean and free of hazards. Menu is posted. Adequate food is available for meals/snacks. K-2 classroom has a fridge and storage area for lunches and snacks. Children eat inside the classroom. Cleaning supplies are kept separate from food and are inaccessible to children. Storage containers for solid waste have tight-fitting covers and are kept in good repair. Storage areas for poisons are locked. Lead Teacher stated there are no firearms or other weapons on the premises. All foods/beverages capable of rapid spoiling are stored in covered containers at 45 F or less. The facility appears to be free of insects and rodents. There is an operational carbon monoxide detector and smoke detector at the facility. Last emergency drill was conducted on 10/07/2025. Outdoor play area is a fully fenced playground with sufficient woodchip material for cushioning. There are no bodies of water at this facility . Climbing structures, swings and slides are securely fixed to the ground. Area has trees used for shade. Equipment is age appropriate. Area has drinking water readily accessible, and grounds are free of debris or potential hazards. (CONT ON LIC809C) LPA reviewed medication storage. Personnel records contain health screening documentation and at least one staff member has current CPR and First Aid certifications. All staff have completed mandated reporter training and required immunizations. Each personnel record contains documentation of educational background and training. Sign ins were reviewed. Children\342\200\231s records contain admission agreements and medical assessment. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances or exemptions. Lead Teacher was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP). LEAD TESTING INFORMATION IS TO BE PROVIDED TO LPA. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPA reviewed storage of \342\200\234medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP.
