Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 9/12/2022 @ 10:55 a.m. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Joelle Redding, made an unannounced visit for a requested capacity decrease from 124 children to 110 children, a room addition/removal and the addition of a toddler option for 8 children in Room P7. The request was received on 8/1/22. Fire clearance was granted on 9/6/22. During today's visit, LPA inspected and measured room P10 as a multipurpose room for the Toddler Option and Preschoolers to use on a staggered schedule. Room P7, currently licensed for preschool children, was inspected for use as a Toddler Option room for 8 children between 18 and 36 months which will start later this year. Room P10 measured 1173 sq. ft., which allows for a maximum capacity of 33 children. There are two bathrooms, one with a urinal, toilet and sink and the other with two toilets and a sink. There is also a sink in the main area of the room. There is a locked office and a usable kitchen attached as well. The toddler option playground measured 1500 sq. ft. allowing for a maximum capacity of 20 children. The facility will be fencing off the Toddler Option playground to create separate space and will provide photos of the fencing and age appropriate equipment prior to use. There is a "driveway" between the building housing P7 and the building where P10 and Toddler Option playground are located. This driveway is secured with a locked gate and security personnel. No passage is allowed during school hours and direct supervision will be provided when transitioning from one building to the next. Room 3A, licensed in August of 2020, will be removed from the license per Licensee request. LPA will conduct a final review of all requirements for the above requests and upon final approval, will provide an updated license for posting.
