What the inspector wrote

On 4/4/2024 @ 9:35AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nancy Diaz conducted an unannounced case management inspection. The purpose of this inspection is in reference to Licensee's request to add Toddler Option Program in Room #8. This classroom has been approved by the San Marcos Fire Protection on 2/6/2024 for toddler option. LPA met with Natasha Clemens, Principal. Observed present today were 89 children with appropriate teacher-children ratios. Room #7 with 19 children and staff Christa Emerson & Susana Zavala; Room #6 with 14 children and staff Demi Verdine & Emily Ojeda; Room #5 with 13 children and staff Christine Morena & Joanna Soria; Room #4 with 17 children and staff Samantha Harris and Abigail Heiskall; Room #3 with 14 children and staff Dayanna Sanchez & Alondra De Jesus and Room #2 with 12 children and staff Michelle Avila & Jackie Narez. Room #8 was observed equipped with age-appropriate furniture and supplies. This classroom measured 733.37 sq. ft. which will accommodate 20 toddlers. The outside play area located at the end of the hallway has been designated for use by the toddlers. This outdoor play area was observed equipped with age-appropriate equipment. The toddler option program in Room #8 is approved for a capacity of 20 toddlers. Total capacity for the preschool program (to include the Toddler Option program) is 149 children. THERE WERE NO DEFICIENCIES OBSERVED TODAY. Exit interview was conducted with Natasha Clemens. LPA reviewed this report with Ms. Clemens. A copy of this report and Appeal rights were provided today. Notice of site visit was given and observed posted.
