Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Director immediately had the child moved off the boppy pillow. Interviews and record review also revealed that the facility staff have been stacking boppy pillows and placing them around the babies for sitting. Stacking of boppy pillows is not the manufacturer\342\200\231s intended use for the product and poses a potential hazard as stated in the manufacturer safety warnings. This agency has investigated the complaint alleging facility practiced tummy time with an infant in an unsafe manner. Based on LPA\342\200\231s own observations, interviews and record review, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED. Deficiencies are cited per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 6 on the attached 9099D. An exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Director, Milroy. A notice of site visit was given, and must remain posted for 30 days.
