On 10/21/25 at 9:01 a.m., Licensing Program Analyst, Renita Rodriguez, met with Director Melinda Lopez for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. The license is for ages 18 months to 5 years. A toddler option is included. There were 112 children present with 16 staff. Facility is within ratio and capacity. Program operates Monday thru Friday from 7:00 a.m. \342\200\223 6:00 p.m. During inspection LPA toured the facility the rooms were clean, orderly and a comfortable temperature during this visit. Adequate ventilation and heating are available. All required forms were posted as specified on the LIC 311A revised 2/22. The furniture, books, games and toys are safe, age-appropriate and in good repair. There is a variety of activities provided throughout the day. Food service area for older infants and children eating solid food consists of a kitchen which is clean and sanitary. Food is stored in covered containers at 45 degrees or less and there is no expired or contaminated food present. Staff preparing food are using proper personal hygiene and food service practices. The food meets the nutritional requirements per regulation and is of good quality and proper quantity. The lunch/snack menu is posted, changes are recorded, and menus are stored for 30 days. Food has been stored separately from any chemicals or cleaning products and food preparation sink is separate from any diaper/changing and hand washing sink. The sink and changing table are disinfected between each use. Hand washing and toileting areas are in a safe, sanitary and operating condition. All storage containers or trash cans containing solid or diaper waste have tight fitting lids and are in good repair. Any waste water used to clean is being discarded after use. Each infant is to be under direct visual observation and supervision by staff at all times. Sleep checks are conducted and documented every 15 minutes for all infants. There are cots/mats for napping children. The outdoor activity space is fully fenced and separated from other programs with age appropriate play equipment. There is sufficient cushioning and adequate shade. Drinking water is available at all times, both inside and outside. There are several staff present with current CPR and First Aid certification. Medications are stored in the front office, inaccessible to children with all required documentation in place. The carbon monoxide detector is operational. The facility has a written disaster plan in place that meets regulatory requirement and has been conducting and documenting evacuation drills. The facility conducts these drills monthly. The written disaster plans are located in the main lobby. The facility does not transport children. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with Director and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Director was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018 , requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1- CCP). LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP . This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS.
