What the inspector wrote

Licensee Representative, Facility Representative and staff members stated that the facility maintains a ratio of 1:8 and always has sufficient staff. Staff members stated that Licensee Representative, Facility Representative and Assistant Director also provide coverage in the classrooms for staff breaks and when assistance is needed. It was alleged that staff yell at children in care. Licensee Representative, Facility Representative and staff members denied the allegation. Facility Representative and staff members stated that inappropriate tones are never used with any daycare children. In addition, it was alleged that staff engaged in an inappropriate altercation in the presence of day care children. Licensee Representative, Facility Representative and staff members denied the allegation. Licensee Representative, Facility Representative and staff members stated that staff have never engaged in any inappropriate altercation in the presence of day care children or at the facility. Based on review of staff timecards, sign in/sign out sheets and interviews conducted, there were no disclosures that collaborated that staff are operating out of ratio, staff yell at children in care and staff engaged in an inappropriate altercation in the presence of day care children. Due to conflicting interview statements the allegations are found to be unsubstantiated. Although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur. No deficiencies cited. A Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) was given to Facility Representative, Renece McMorris and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Appeal Rights (LIC 9058) were provided. An exit interview conducted, and report was reviewed with Facility Representative, Renece McMorris.
