What the inspector wrote

On 8/21/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Saraliz Velando conducted an unannounced annual licensing inspection. LPA was greeted by the two Site Leads, Taylor Walsh and Melissa Marsman and granted entry after identifying herself and disclosing the purpose of her visit. LPA toured the facility and observed 23 preschool children and 6 staff present today. Appropriate ratios and capacity were observed. Furniture and age-appropriate equipment is in good condition. Rooms have adequate heating, lighting, and ventilation. Floors appear to be clean and safe. Drinking water is readily accessible. Bathrooms are maintained with operational toilets and faucets with paper towels and toilet paper available. Food service area consists of a kitchen which is clean and free of hazards. Menu is posted. Facility provides all snacks and lunch. Cleaning supplies are kept separate from food and are inaccessible to children. Storage containers for solid waste have tight-fitting covers and are kept in good repair. The facility appears to be free of insects and rodents. There is an operational carbon monoxide detector in the P5 Room. Site Lead, Taylor Walsh states there are no firearms or ammunition stored at the facility. Outdoor play area is a fenced with sufficient material for cushioning. There are no bodies of water at this facility. Climbing structures, swings and slides are securely fixed to the ground. Area does have adequate shade. Drinking water readily accessible and grounds are free of debris or potential hazards. LPA reviewed medication storage. At least one staff member has current CPR and First Aid certification. All staff have current mandated reporter training. Staff files were complete. Sign in/out sheets were reviewed and full signature of parents were observed. A sample of children\342\200\231s records were reviewed and observed to be complete. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the Site Lead, Taylor Walsh. A copy of this report and Appeal Rights were provided. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
