What the inspector wrote

On 06/23/2025, at 12:30PM, Licensing Program Analyst(LPA), Hanna Lucas, evaluated the facility for a requested room change. This request was received on 06/06/2025, and a Fire Clearance was received on 06/17/2025. During the visit, an annual inspection was conducted as well. LPA met with the Director, Cynthia Sanchez , and the Association Program Specialist, Jennifer Hardy, and toured the facility. There were zero children in care, as the facility is currently on summer break. The rooms were clean and in a comfortable temperature during the visit. Adequate ventilation and heating are available. All required forms were posted. The furniture, books, games, and toys are safe, and age appropriate. There is a variety of activities provided throughout the day. The playground area is fully fenced and children who are younger than 5 years old do not use the play structure that is intended for 5 years and older. On the playground there is sufficient cushioning and adequate shade. Drinking water is available at all times, as staff ensures that each child has their own personal water bottle, that can be refilled at the inside and outside water foundation. Children are evaluated upon entry and monitored throughout the day for signs of illness. The isolation area for ill children awaiting pick up is near the Director\342\200\231s desk. The facility provides morning snack to children in care. The children\342\200\231s food is labeled and stored in the classroom\342\200\231s fridge, which is clean and orderly. There is no expired or contaminated food present. The food has been stored separately from any chemicals or cleaning products. The menu is posted, changes are recorded, and the menus are stored for 30 days. Hand washing and toileting areas are in a safe, sanitary, and operating condition. There are several staff present with current CPR and First Aid certification. Medications are stored in Director\342\200\231s desk, inside a locked box, inaccessible to children with all required documentation on file. There is no evidence of rodent or insect activity. The carbon monoxide detector in Classroom 503 and fire alarm in each classroom are operational. The facility has a written disaster plan in place, and they have been conducting and documenting drills every six months. The last drill was conducted on 06/02/2025. The facility does not transport children. LPA reviewed sign in/out sheets, a sample of personnel records and a sample of children's records.
