What the inspector wrote

On January 23, 2026 at 1:45 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Gloria Gonzalez conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for a decrease in capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director, Anna Peralta. On or about 2:15 PM Licensee Representative, Michelle Syverson arrived at the facility. Applicant is requesting to be licensed for 24 preschoolers. The Department received required to documents to decrease capacity from 48 to 24 daycare children. Fire clearance was granted on 12/11/2025. The rooms licensed will continue to be room #36 and #37, (at this time only room #37 is being used due to low enrollment).\302\240 Hours of operation Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM and 12:10 PM to 3:10 PM. There were nine (9) children and three (3) staff members present during today\342\200\231s inspection.\302\240 All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed the Director that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities. Total indoor activity space measured 1874 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of (24) Children.\302\240 LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via bottled waters. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. LPA observed a total of two (2) sinks and two (2) toilets available for children\342\200\231s use in the classrooms. There are two additional children's bathrooms on the campus across from the classrooms which include at least two additional toilets and sinks that were licensed in 2010. There are sufficient toilets and sinks in total for the capacity of 24 children, as requested. The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area. The total square footage for all the outdoor activity space is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground. There is adequate cushioning in fall zones of climber provided by rubber cushioning. LPA observed all hazardous items on the playground to be inaccessible to children. Licensee Representative was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing. For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1- CCP). No corrections are needed.\302\240 A license for (24) children will be granted upon a final file review. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee Representative, Michelle Syverson.
