What the inspector wrote

On May 12, 2026 at 8:45A, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Hector Canton and Renita Rodriguez conducted an unannounced visit to evaluate the facility’s request for a room change and license update. Upon arrival, LPAs met with, Director, Kristine Collings and explained the purpose of the inspection. The facility has requested to utilize their “Room 2” for their toddlers as a part of their toddler component, previously this room was used in their preschool component. LPAs toured and measured the affected indoor and outdoor areas as indicated on the updated facility sketch. Present during today’s inspection were 66 children and 12 fully qualified teachers. The indoor activity space measured 273 square feet, which is sufficient for the requested capacity of 6 additional children. LPA observed age-appropriate furnishings, equipment, and materials in good repair. There are two changing areas within arm’s reach of a sink as required. Drinking water was readily accessible. Bathrooms were sanitary, stocked, and operational. There are three toilets available for toddlers, as necessary, which is sufficient for the requested capacity. Food preparation and storage areas were clean and free of hazards. Solid waste containers had tight-fitting lids and were in good condition. Any hazardous materials were locked and inaccessible to children. LPAs inspected the outdoor activity space, which measured 2680.5 square feet and was fully fenced and free of hazards, the outdoor space is also sufficient for the capacity change requested. Shade and drinking water were available outdoors. The outdoor equipment was age-appropriate and in safe condition. LPAs verified that all climbing structures have sufficient cushioning below. A license reflecting the updated capacity of 18 toddlers, 6 additional with the use of “Room 2” may be issued pending final file review. An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed in its entirety with Kristine Collings. Appeal rights were provided. A Notice of Site Visit was issued and must remain posted for 30 days.
