What the inspector wrote

On 9/9/25 at 8:15 AM, Licensing Program Analyst, Annette Sutherland, met with Directors Lina Wolf & Cecilia Krongold for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection.\302\240There were 4 infants present with 2 teachers in 1 room. Facility is within ratio and capacity. Program operates 7:45 - 5pm. LPA toured the facility. The room was clean, orderly and a comfortable temperature during this visit.\302\240 Adequate ventilation and heating are available.\302\240 All required forms were posted. The furniture, books, games and toys are safe, age-appropriate and in good repair.\302\240There is a variety of activities provided throughout the day.\302\240 Infant foods/beverages are labeled/dated and stored per regulation in the infant room refrigerator. Facility does not provide food, infants bring their lunches from home. Infant bedding/napping equipment is in good repair with standard cribs and\302\240 mattresses of a water-resistant material, disinfected daily. Crib and mats are spaced adequately apart to meet regulation and are not blocking an entrance or an exit.\302\240 Tight fitting crib sheets are in place, bedding is stored separately, and each child has his/her own.\302\240 No children are using the same crib.\302\240 Soiled sheets are kept in accessible to children and bedding is washed daily or more if necessary.\302\240 Infant changing tables have padded, washable vinyl at least one inch thick with sides raised at least 3 inches, per regulation and are within arm\342\200\231s reach of a sink that is not used for food preparation.\302\240 The sink and changing table are disinfected between each use.\302\240 Hand washing and toileting areas are in a safe, sanitary and operating condition.\302\240There is at least one potty chair or toilet with training seat present for every 5 infants who are potty training.\302\240All storage containers or trash cans containing solid or diaper waste have tight fitting lids and are in good repair.\302\240 Each infant is to be under direct visual observation and supervision by staff at all times. Sleep checks are conducted and documented every 15 minutes for all infants.\302\240 Appropriate supervision was in place during this visit. The outdoor activity space is fully fenced and separate from other programs with age appropriate play equipment., securely anchored to the ground.\302\240 There is sufficient cushioning and adequate shade.\302\240 Drinking water is available at all times, both inside and outside. There are several staff present with current CPR and First Aid certification. Medications are stored\302\240are stored in the office, inaccessible to children with all required documentation in place.\302\240 There is no evidence of rodent or insect activity.\302\240 There are several carbon monoxide detectors and are operational. The facility has a written disaster plan in place that meets regulatory requirement and has been conducting and documenting evacuation drills every six months. The facility does not transport children. LPA reviewed sign in/out sheets, a sample of personnel records and a sample of children's records.\302\240 All were found to be in compliance with Title 22 regulation.\302\240 Facility is reminded the Mandated Reporter Training is to be retaken every two years and can be accessed at the following website: www.mandatedreporterca.com .\302\240 Children are evaluated upon entry and monitored throughout the day for signs of illness.\302\240 The isolation area for ill children awaiting pick up is the front office. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. Services are in place today. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center.\302\240 A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. No deficiencies are cited Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director . A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
