What the inspector wrote

On February 27, 2025, at 10:05AM, Licensing Program Analyst\342\200\231s (LPA\342\200\231s), Diana Brasel, Griselda Castellon, Sandra Pulido, and William Chancellor conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for an increase in capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director Liz Bannan and Licensee Rebecca Cook as they are requesting to be licensed for 39 preschoolers ages 2-5 years old. Upon completion of today\342\200\231s visit, the facility measures for a total capacity of 34 preschool children ages 2-5 years old in classrooms #1, #2 and #3. An updated LIC 200A was requested, to reflect the new requested capacity of 34 children. Hours of operation will be listed as Monday through Friday 7:30AM- 5PM. Present during today\342\200\231s inspection were (20) children with (7) staff. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Director, Liz Bannan that staff are required to always maintain direct visual supervision of the children during indoor and outdoor activities. LPA continued to tour the facility and measured new additional indoor and outdoor activity space. Total indoor activity space measured 1201.76 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of (34) Children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots/mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available indoors and outdoors via Brita filtered water and children bring their own individual water bottles. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. Fire clearance was granted on October 23, 2024. continued on LIC-809C LPA observed a total of (5) sinks and (4) toilets available for children\342\200\231s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the revised capacity request of (34) children. The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area. Fencing that is both chain link and wood fencing is at least four feet high. The total square footage for all the outdoor activity space is 5473.23, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. Shade is provided via large trees that sufficiently cover the entire playground and additional wind sails. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground. There is adequate cushioning in fall zones provided by wood chips. LPA observed all hazardous items on the playground to be inaccessible to children. Licensee Rebecca Cook was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing. No corrections are needed. A license for (34) children will be granted upon a final file review. The requested increase from 27 to 34, ages 2-5 years old in rooms #1, #2, and #3. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Owner, Rebecca Cook.
