What the inspector wrote

On 3/18/2025, at 9:15am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Vicky Williamson conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for the purpose of inspecting and measuring additional space added to the infant playground. Upon arrival, LPA met with Facility Representative, Renece McMorris. LPA observed additional space added to the playground during another inspection at the facility on 3/5/2025. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 6:00pm. Present during today\342\200\231s inspection were 13 children and four (4) staff. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. Outdoor activity space utilized for the infant children was inspected today. LPA informed Facility Representative, Renece McMorris that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities. Facility Representative, Renece McMorris stated there are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area. Fencing is constructed of wrought iron that is at least four feet high. The total square footage for all infant outdoor activity space is 1,154.65, which is sufficient to accommodate 15 infants at one time, insufficient for the number of infants being requested. A playground waiver was granted on 9/26/2013, to accommodate nine (9) infants at one time; however a new playground waiver will be required. A playground waiver to share the playground at different times in the AM and PM due to limited square footage shall be submitted and approved prior to15 children being allowed on the playground. Shade is provided via canopies and tents. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground. There is a climbing structure on the playground for children ages 6 - 24 months which is properly anchored. There is adequate cushioning in fall zones of climber provided by rubber cushioning. Drinking water is available via water containers and cups. LPA observed all hazardous items on the playground to be inaccessible to children. Facility Representative, Renece McMorris was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing. See LIC 809C Continuation... The following is required prior to 15 children being allowed on the playground: \302\267 Licensee Representative is to submit an updated waiver request and daily schedules to the SDRO \302\267 Plan of operation submitted for transitioning from the classroom to the outdoor space No deficiencies cited. A Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) was given to Facility Representative, Renece McMorris and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. LPA observed LIC 9213 was posted. Appeal Rights (LIC 9058) was provided. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. An exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Facility Representative, Renece McMorris.
