What the inspector wrote

On 6/2/25 at 3:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Keturah Lane conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for an increase in capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with Facility Representative Robyn Bowman. Facility is requesting to be licensed for 97 preschoolers ages 2.5 \342\200\223 5 years in classrooms #3, #4, #5 and ESS Room/building. This is a Title 5 Program. Hours of operation will be Monday \342\200\223 Friday (6:30 AM \342\200\223 6:00 PM). Present during today\342\200\231s inspection were 25 children with 6 staff. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Director that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities. LPA continued to tour the facility and inspected Room 3 being added to the license. Room 3 was previously measured and licensed on 8/28/14 and there have been no changes to the room which measured 774 square feet. The facility requested a capacity decrease on 2/8/2023, removing room 3 from the license. Total sq. footage is 3,412 sq. ft. which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 97 preschool children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots/mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via water bottle filling station for rooms 3-5 and the ESS CARE room has a sparklets water system. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. Fire clearance was granted on 5/29/25. (continued on LIC809-C...) LPA observed a total of 8 sinks and 8 toilets available for children\342\200\231s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 97 children. The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area. Fencing is chain link and at least four feet high. The total square footage for all the outdoor activity space previously measured is 12,750 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. Shade is provided via canopies and trees. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground. There is a climbing structure on the playground for children ages 2-5 years which is properly anchored. There is adequate cushioning in fall zones of climber provided by poured rubber surfacing. Drinking water is available via water bottles. LPA observed all hazardous items on the playground to be inaccessible to children. Director was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing. No corrections are needed. A license for 97 children will be granted upon a final file review. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with facility representative Robyn Bowman. Notice of site visit was provided and must be posted for 30 days.
