Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Kelli Waters conducted a Case Management visit on 09/04/24 to follow up on an Unusual Incident Report (UIR) that was submitted to Licensing by the facility on 07/23/24. LPA met with Eunice Herrera, Site Director, and Cynthia De Dios, Program Director, to discuss incident. The Director reported the following; starting on 07/15/24-07/16/24, five staff of the facility and two students from classroom B7 tested positive for COVID. Director reported that the facility contacted parents of B7 of COVID exposure and had families monitor any signs of symptoms. Director also contacted the San Diego County Office of Public Health line to report the positive cases. Staff and students were directed to stay home until their symptoms were mild and fever free for 24 hours. Beyond staff disinfecting high-touch surfaces, the facility has a janitorial company cleaning classrooms after hours on an on-going basis. All staff and students were cleared to return and no other cases have been reported. LPA Waters determined that the facility took the necessary steps to ensure the safety of the children. Based on the information obtained during the visit, there appears to be no violations of Title 22 Regulations pertaining to the reported incident. An exit interview was conducted, Notice of Site visit and a copy of this report was provided. A copy of this report must be made available to the public, at the facility site, for 3 years.
