What Happened
During a virtual case management visit, the licensing analyst reviewed a self-reported incident where a child was outside on the attached patio unsupervised for about 2 to 3 minutes. The area was gated and age-appropriate, but the child had left the classroom unseen by staff, so a Type B deficiency was cited for lack of supervision.
Observations
- Child #1 exited the classroom through the open bathroom door and was outside on the patio unseen by staff.
- The child remained outside unsupervised for approximately 2 to 3 minutes before being brought back inside.
- A Type B deficiency was cited for the supervision lapse.
