What the inspector wrote

On 3/15/23 at 2:00pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Adrian Castellon made an unannounced complaint inspection today and met with Director Brenda Casillas to deliver complaint findings for the above listed allegation. This agency has investigated the allegations listed above. During the investigation, LPA interviewed the facility staff, day-care children and day-care parents. LPA Castellon also obtained and reviewed ProCare App logs. Appropriate ratios were observed on this date. During the course of the investigation, two unannounced inspections were conducted. LPA Castellon interviewed the reporting party. Based on staff and parent interviews, LPA observations and review of facility documents, it was determined that the facility failed to document a day care child's medication log and children had access to inappropriate food items. Rash ointment was not documented when administered. Jalapenos planted in the facility garden were accessible to children in care. Based on interviews conducted , LPA observations and review of facility documents, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED. Type B citations are cited on the attached LIC 9099D.
