What Happened
Hazardous items were accessible to children during inspection: adult scissors, sunscreen containers, and cleaning solution-containing mop located in childcare areas. All items were removed by staff during the visit.
Observations
- Adult scissors on counter in Room 5 accessible to children
- Basket containing multiple sunscreen containers on table in Room 5 accessible to children
- Scissors on cubbie in Room 7 accessible to children
- Mop with cleaning solution container in Room 7 accessible to children

Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in 56 out of 56 persons in that LPA observed adult scissors on a counter in Room 5; a basket on a table containing several containers of sunscreen, scissors on a cubbie and a mop with an attachment containing cleaning solution in Room 7 which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
