On 05/16/2023 at 1:20pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), David Miller and Martha Malane conducted an unannounced Plan of Correction (POC) inspection and to amend the Facility Evaluation Report page LIC 809-D dated 05/09/2023. Purpose of this inspection is to ensure the citation issued 05/09/2023 has been corrected. Upon arrival, LPAs met with Director, Lauern Wynglarz and proceeded to tour the facility. The facility was cited for being over-capacity on 05/09/2023. On 05/09/2023, the facility had 32 children present when the facility is currently licensed for only 20 children. During today's inspection, there were 19 napping preschool age children with one (1) teacher. The Director stated that she corrected the deficiency on 05/12/2023 by informing parents they can only care for 20 children, stating that once they reach 20 children for the day they inform parents they have reached capacity and cannot take any additional children for the day. During today's inspection, the facility is within the license capacity. The facility submitted a written plan of correction on 05/12/2023. Child files were reviewed and contain signed LIC9224 Acknowledgement of Licensing Report. The deficiency cited on 05/09/2023 has been cleared. The cleared POC letter was issued on 05/16/2023, and will be emailed to the Director. Exit interview conducted with the Director, Lauern Wynglarz. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Director stated that she will submit a new director packet to the SDRO by 05/26/2023.
