Pre-licensing visit·July 9, 2025

On July 9, 2025 at approximately 9:15am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Catrina Quimbo and Melissa Zaragoza, conducted a scheduled, follow-up pre-licensing visit to L'Academy Preschool Mission Noe. LPAs met with applicant, Zhen Zhen Li, and explained the purpose of the visit. LPAs conducted an initial pre-licensing inspection with applicant on June 25, 2025. LPAs discussed plan of corrections with applicant. On June 30, 2025 applicant submitted photos of physical plan of corrections to LPAs. LPAs conducted follow-up pre-licensing visit today's date, to verify plan of corrections have been completed and to ensure outdoor and indoor square footage have not changed. LPAs observed following corrections on today's date: -Sound alarms installed on exit doors in both classrooms. -Cat door on basement door has been made inaccessible. -Cubbies are secure in preschool classroom. -Mail slot on main entrance door to facility has been covered. -Infant's fence in outdoor area has been installed. -Heater/air conditioner in infant outdoor area has been made inaccessible. -Shade covers have been installed in the infant outdoor area. -Gap filling on floor in infant outdoor area has been completed. -Soft padding in infant outdoor area has been installed. No measurements were taken today. LPAs determined there have been no changes to the outdoor and indoor square footage. (Continued, Page 2...) (Continued, Page 2...) LPAs discussed with applicant physical plant is to remain as is. Any changes to facility, the department must be made aware prior to and must approve of. Per Title 22, Section 101212(c) The licensee shall notify the Department in writing of his/her intent prior to making any structural changes that reduce the total amount of indoor or outdoor activity space. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with applicant and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at: https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep , as an additional resource. LPA also informed applicant of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at: https://www.cpsc.gov/ , and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment Applicant has submitted an outdoor rotation waiver, outdoor facility sketch and updated application for a child care license (with updated capacity) to the department. Following to be completed prior to licensure: -Submission of open space waiver with park permit from San Francisco Parks and Recreation. -Updated fire clearance with updated capacity. -Centralized Application Bureau (CAB) final approval of application. -Management approval. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the applicant, Zhen Zhen Li.
