What the inspector wrote

On January 8, 2026, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Stacey Williams and Sarah Tibbett met with Facility Representative, Mary Ocegueda for an unannounced annual random inspection. LPA provided LIC 125, Entrance Checklist and toured the facility including all activity and classroom spaces, restrooms, food service and outdoor play areas. LPAs observed forty-nine (49) napping children being supervised by eight staff. The Facility Representative was reminded never to exceed the conditions, limitations and capacity specified on the license . Facility hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00AM- 5:30 PM. The Facility Representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Childcare Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPAs observed that all classrooms appeared clean including the carpets and floors. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, and toileting facilities are in safe, sanitary, and operating condition. LPA observed a functional carbon monoxide detector. Chemicals and cleaning materials were kept inaccessible to children. Trash cans have tight fitting lids. The Facility Representative stated there are no poisons, bodies of water, or weapons on the premises. Playground equipment and surfaces were inspected and are in good condition with enough resilient material under climbing structures to absorb a fall. Shade was provided to children via trees. Drinking water was readily available to children both indoors and outdoors. Menus were posted. Facility provides breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. LPA observed required licensing postings were visible to parents. LPA observed a current children's roster and fire drill; the last drill was conducted 10/2025. During this inspection, LPA observed that the facility is equipped with first aid equipment. Sign in sheets were reviewed. Continued on LIC 809-C..... Page 2\342\200\246 During today\342\200\231s inspection staff and children\342\200\231s files were reviewed. LPAs observed current immunization records, documentation of the educational background, training, and/or experience and Mandated Reporter training certificates in staff files. Staff present today have current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification (expires 8/2027). Each child's file contained appropriate documentation: emergency card, consent for emergency medical treatment and notifications of children\342\200\231s and parent\342\200\231s rights, health history, physician's report and immunization records. Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Childcare Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. For childcare center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP). LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. Page 3\342\200\246 Facility Representative was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. A notice of site visit was given to Facility Representative, Mary Ocegueda and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Facility Representative, Mary Ocegueda .
