What the inspector wrote
On February 24
th
, 2026, at 12:30 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) David Nguyen met with licensee, Idalia Camarillo for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. The purpose of the unannounced annual inspection was explained. There was one (1) daycare child present at the time of the inspection. Licensee\342\200\231s assistant was also present at the start of the inspection. Licensee's operating hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. LPA discussed with licensee that absences shall not exceed 20 percent of the hours that the facility is providing care per day. Licensee must notify the department anytime facility is closed for vacation or any other leave that requires more than 20 percent of the day to be absent. Meals\342\200\224breakfast, AM snack, lunch, PM snack, and dinner, are provided to daycare children. Drinking water is also provided for daycare children with the use of bottled water and cups. LPA discussed with licensee the balance of the annual license fees and provided licensee the balance of the annual license fees and the PIN number for online payment.
Transportation is also provided to daycare children if needed. Licensee acknowledges that only drivers, who are licensed for the type of the vehicle to be operated, shall be permitted to transport children in care, the manufacturer's rated seating capacity of the vehicle shall not be exceeded, motor vehicles used to transport children in care shall be maintained in safe operating condition, and all vehicle occupants must be secured in an appropriate restraint system.

All adults subject to criminal background review have obtained criminal record clearance. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
A health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children. The detached one-story and single-family home consists of three (3) bedrooms, and two (2) bathrooms, and an attached 2-car garage. The off-limit areas in the home include the master bedroom, master bathroom, office, kitchen, dining area, living room, garage, the three (3) storage sheds in the backyard, and the side yard/dogs\342\200\231 run. . The on-limits areas in the home include the play room, the nursery room, bathroom in the hallway, and backyard. LPA observed the required postings and a working phone. 2A10BC fire extinguisher meets regulations. LPA observed smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in the hallway and verified they were both functional. The fireplace in the home is appropriately barricaded to prevent access to children

LPA toured the kitchen area and verified knives and cleaners were inaccessible to children in care. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. There are no bodies of water on the premises. Outdoor play space is fenced. LPA observed the play room areas with age-appropriate toys and reading materials for children. LPA observed a restroom and verified that hazardous and toxic items were inaccessible to children in care. Licensee stated that her FCCH houses three (3) outdoor dogs and one (1) indoor bird. Licensee also stated that both the dogs and the bird will not interact with the daycare children, and they will be remained in an off-limit areas when the daycare children are present and playing outdoors.
Child\342\200\231s file was reviewed. Emergency information and required immunization records were on file. LPA observed a current roster and documentation that a fire drill is conducted at least once every six months. Licensee's immunization records for measles (MMR), pertussis (Tdap), and the flu are available in the facility file. Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification was verified and

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at

as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for and removing any recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at
https://www.cpsc.gov/
and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
Licensee was made aware of the LIC9227--Individual Infant Sleeping Plan, for infants under 12 months and sleep logs for all infants in care under 24 months need to be maintained in children\342\200\231s files.
This provider is not currently providing Incidental Medical Services (IMS) services to children in care. Licensee acknowledges that a plan for providing IMS must be submitted to the department if provided. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22- 02-CCP. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
During the exit interview, the Licensee Idalia Camarillo, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility, and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Idalia Camarillo. Appeal rights and a notice of site visit were provided. A notice of site visit was posted and must remain posted for 30 days.
In the areas that were evaluated, no deficiencies were cited during today\342\200\231s inspection.
