What the inspector wrote

On December 11, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Stacey Williams met with Facility Representative, Alicia Neves for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. LPA provided Facility Representative LIC 125. Upon arrival, LPA observed four (5) infants supervised by two staff. Program operation hours are \342\200\223 6:30AM-6:30PM (Monday- Friday). Criminal record clearances have been verified. There is a shared outdoor space waiver on file. Facility fees are current. LPA conducted a health and safety inspection for all areas accessible to children. The Representative stated there are no poisons on the premises. Toxic and hazardous items are inaccessible to children. Furniture and equipment are in good condition. LPA observed a functional smoke/carbon monoxide detector and a fully charged 3A :40BC fire extinguisher. The floors appeared clean throughout the facility. Outdoor play area is free from dangerous conditions and playground equipment is securely anchored to the ground. Facility does not provide meals for infants in care. Meals and snacks are provided by the children\342\200\231s families. Snacks are readily available at the facility. Facility washes bedding daily. Noncontaminated Drinking water is readily available to children both indoors and outdoors. Sign in and sign out sheets were reviewed. Fire drills are conducted every six months. Each child\342\200\231s file included information pertaining to their authorized representative, consent for medical treatment, immunization records, infant needs and services plans and safe sleep logs, and a medical assessment form. Files for staff who were present at the facility were reviewed. Files included Mandated Reporter training completion certificates, Health screening report, immunization records, and documentation of educational background, training, and/or experience. CPR/ First Aid certification was verified for staff present. CPR/First Aid certification expiration date is 1/2027. LPA reviewed the Department's inspection authority and discussed with staff any changes that may occur regarding Director/Site Supervisor or an employee acting in the director's absence must be reported to department within 10 working days. Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. For childcare center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP). LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with Facility Representative and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed Facility Representative of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
