What the inspector wrote

On June 16 th , 2025, at 9:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) David Nguyen met licensee Vernette Brown to conduct a proof-of-correction inspection to verify corrections of a Type-A deficiency cited on June 10 th , 2025. The purpose of the proof-of-correction inspection was explained. There was one (1) child present during today\342\200\231s proof-of-correction inspection. On June 10 th , 2025, the facility was cited for one (1) Type-A deficiency for not keeping the laundry room free of laundry detergents and the kitchen free of medications\342\200\224both prescription and non-prescription, and oral care products out of children\342\200\231s reach. During today's inspection LPA toured on-limits areas. The Type-A deficiency cited on June 10 th , 2025, for not keeping the laundry room free of laundry detergents and the kitchen free of medications\342\200\224both prescription and non-prescription, and oral care products out of children\342\200\231s reach was cleared on June 16 th , 2025. During today\342\200\231s inspection, LPA observed no laundry detergents in the laundry room accessible to children and no medications\342\200\224both prescriptions and non-prescriptions\342\200\224and oral care products in the kitchen accessible to children. During today\342\200\231s inspection, licensee stated that she wanted to make the side yard back on-limits. LPA toured the backyard and side yards with licensee. LPA inspected the backyard and the side yards, and LPA verified that the backyard and the side yards are safe for daycare children to play during outdoor play times. Report continues on LIC809-C... (Page 2) (Page 2) An exit interview was conducted with licensee, Vernette Brown. Appeal rights and a Notice of Site Visit were provided. Licensee\342\200\231s signature on this form acknowledged the receipt of the form. A notice of site visit was posted by LPA and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
