What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Erwin Tjhia conducted an unannounced 1 Year required inspection and met with Licensee, Charron Sainez. LPA observed 10 children supervised by Licensee, and 2 Assistants. Criminal record clearances have been verified. Licensee operation hours are Monday- Friday: 5:30 AM - 5:30 PM. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA and Licensee toured the facility during the inspection. Off limit areas are all bedrooms, garage, laundry room, and back yard. Off limit areas are being made inaccessible by closed locked doors, baby gates, and supervision.The backyard is fenced. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. There are no bodies of water on the premises. The facility was no longer has an above-ground pool . LPA observed the required postings and a working phone. 3A40BC fire extinguisher meets regulations. LPA observed smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and verified they were both functional. LPA toured the kitchen and bathrooms areas and observed the cleaners (409s and other cleaning solution) were store at the unlocked cabinet under the sink accessible to children in care. LPA conducted record reviews during the inspection. Three children's files, Licensee, and her Assistants’ files were reviewed. LPA did not observed immunization record for MMR, Tdap, Flu and TB for staff #1 and #2. LPA discussed mandated reporter training with the Licensee. Licensee and her Assistants have current Mandated Reporter Training on file. Licensee understands Mandated Reporter Training is to be completed every two years. Licensee mandated reporter will be expired on 08/25/2025 Mandated reporter training can be accessed at www.mandatedreporterca.com . At least one staff has current CPR/First Aid certification expire on 07/2024. LPA observed fire drills were conducted at least once every six months and documented. Report Continue on 809-C
